Installing PHP (ISAPI) in Windows 2000 Professional (#3)

3) Copy all the needed files from the C:\php-4.4.1-win32 folder (and two sub-folders) into the C:\PHP folder

If you have followed the Step #2 accurately, you should now have two folder windows open -- one is the C:\PHP folder window, and the other is the C:\php-4.4.1-win32 folder window.

Select all (A) the files (but not the folders) in the "php-4.4.1-Win32" folder's root and copy them to the "PHP" folder (not illustrated here.)

Open in separate instances the "dlls" (B) and "sapi" (C) folders in the "C:\php-4.4.1-win32" folder, and copy the files in them into the PHP folder... (do not copy the folders themselves into C:\PHP folder ; copy only the files in these two folders into the C:\PHP folder.)

So that all the needed files are copied into the C:\PHP folder:

The above screen shot shows all the needed files after they are finally copied from the "php-4.4.1-Win32" folder into the "PHP" folder. Notice that there are no sub-folders in it; only the files have been copied as explained above.

Previous Step: 2) Create the "C:\PHP" directory.

Next Step    : 4) Rename the "php.ini-recommended" file to "php.ini" in the "PHP" folder.
