6) Create the “PHPRC” environment variable
As stated in the last step (#5), you should still have the "Environment Variables" window (A) open. (If not, go back to Step# 5 and open the "Environment Variables" window.) We want to create a new environment variable so click on the "New" button (B).
...to open the "New System Variable" window (C). As "Variable Name:", type PHPRC (D) and as "Variable Value:", type C:\PHP (E). Click on the "OK" button (F) when done to close the small window.
Back in the "Environment Variable" window, click the "OK" button (G) to close it...
and click the "OK" button (H) of the "System Properties" window to close it.
We have successfully concluded Step #6, and before we continue, we will need to restart Windows. This is a good time to take a coffee break or have a can of beer.
Previous Step: 5) Add "C:\PHP" to the Windows Path Environment Variable
Next Step : 7) Check the Environment Variables.
